In a world at the edge of History, a wounded activist forms a symbiotic bond with her skin donor — a connection made fragile by their incompatible worldviews.

Synopsis:

The Earth is waiting for a sudden drop in oxygen caused by an expected magnetic field reversal. A pill that grants a controlled death has become a privilege monopolized by the wealthy, and a group of activists takes to the streets to demand that this final mercy be made accessible to everyone. Nada, a mycologist, is at the forefront. After a clash with the police, Nada suffers severe burns to her back, and she has to go through a skin graft. During the operation, Nada briefly meets the gaze of her donor before slipping back into sleep.

Weeks later, Nada notices a street artist painting a wall and is overwhelmed by a mysterious impulse to stop. She recognizes his gaze: it is her donor.

Despite Tristan's initial reluctance to engage, the two begin a painful love story, made fragile by their ideological differences: Tristan is a disillusioned artist who survives through small schemes; Nada makes of resistance her life's purpose.

When Tristan is conscripted for a covert mission, their paths split irreversibly. Yet, the graft that fuses their skin seems to intertwine their destinies: Tristan begins to glimpse a sense of purpose in his life, while Nada continues her research to engineer a fungus with mycoremediation capacities—one capable of thriving without oxygen.

Their entangled journeys raise the same questions: can humanity decenter itself to imagine new existential possibilities? Can connection still arise when the world itself appears to be dissolving away?
