The film explores Alzheimer’s disease and the care of elderly family members from the perspective of a young woman, a family member “who doesn’t yet have to worry about it.
Synopsis:
She's terribly afraid that one day she'll stop remembering, too. Or worse - that her parents will stop remembering. Because that would mean she would have to take care of them. Her grandma's Alzheimer's began with her constantly losing her documents and then suspecting everyone around her of theft. She doesn't want her parents to lose their documents. But her dad has a wallet made from the same leather as their couch, and now the wallet is blending in with it. Until when is a memory lapse funny and innocent, and at what point does it have the power to change absolutely everything? The demographic curve is rising, the pharmaceutical industry is constantly evolving, and people are living longer. In a globalized world, young people no longer wish to stay in one place. They reject gender stereotypes. The film explores the issue of unpaid care work - a topic more relevant than ever.
