Synopsis:

In a near-future country where only mothers are granted full citizenship, Victoria, a powerful conductor and public icon of the regime, has built her authority on a lie: the son that secured her status is not biologically hers. When his death risks exposing the truth, she announces a late pregnancy to protect her position. Unable to conceive, she turns to Blanca, a young bassoonist trapped in conditional citizenship, offering her career and protection in exchange for carrying the child in secret. What begins as a calculated agreement unravels when Blanca discovers she is not just a surrogate, but the biological co-parent. As the balance of power shifts, their relationship becomes a confrontation over who can claim motherhood. In a system where motherhood defines belonging, both are forced to question what it means to choose, to resist, and to shape their own future and the one of their son.
