Synopsis:

Pedro arrives at a remote clinic in Finland, referred by a physician from a Portuguese hospital. He suffers from a mysterious and rare syndrome that — surprisingly, and with difficulty gaining acceptance within the scientific community — appears to affect only those born between late December and early January.

The condition combines psychological and physical symptoms, yet no one knows exactly how to treat it. The outcome is always the same, except in a few controlled cases receiving treatment at the Finnish clinic: death within four to six months.

The clinic imposes a structured routine, regular participation in individual and group sessions, and occasional trips to the nearest village. Gradually, Pedro begins to sense that his transformation is inevitable. And as the inexplicable takes hold, he finds himself in a place where his own cure no longer seems to matter.
