Synopsis:

After a disastrous summer season, campsite owner Gianfranco desperately tries to save his business by turning it into Camp Kriskindl, a seaside holiday camp for foreign tourists seeking a different kind of festive experience. But behind the fairy lights lies debt, improvisation, and complete chaos.

The Mlinar family arrives unexpectedly, brought there by father Gabriel under the guise of a spontaneous family getaway. In reality, he is running away from his obsessive lover Ticijana, who soon begins tracking him along the coast, determined to expose their affair and destroy his marriage.

As Gabriel struggles to keep control, his wife Sofija believes this trip is a chance to reconnect and repair their family. But their relationship quickly begins to crack under the weight of lies. Their children are drawn into their own chaotic storylines, from first love to hidden online identities on the verge of being exposed, while the camp itself becomes a stage for increasingly absurd and tense situations.

As Christmas approaches, Ticijana gets closer, secrets rise to the surface, and Gianfranco’s camp spirals further into disorder. When a powerful storm cuts them off from the outside world, all the characters are forced into confrontation, with each other, and with themselves.

Camp Kriskindl is an ensemble dramedy about a getaway gone wrong, a story of family, love, and lies that can no longer be hidden, not even under holiday lights.
