Duration: 26'

Countries: Czech Republic

A whimsical filmmaker turns to his austerely rational mother, a zoologist, for help filming animals. Along the way, they meet a gorilla terrified of cameras, penguins haunted by their own shadows, and a sleepless anaconda. As memories of wild tigers and pet rabbits resurface, the zoologist is compelled to question her relationship with animals.

Kartikeya is an Indian director-cinematographer based in Prague. He is currently pursuing an MA in Directing Cinema and Digital Media at FAMU. He particularly engages with themes and ideas of ecology, architecture, food, indigenous knowledge systems, and oral traditions in his work.
