Lyrical portrait of a religious community in Ukraine is a new angle on war. In a sunny Ukrainian village scarred by two world wars and relentless floods, a closed religious community strives to protect their home as the past and present conflicts collide.

Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk (1983) is a Ukrainian author and filmmaker, graduated from the Kyiv National I.K. Karpenko-Kary Theatre, Cinema and Television University. Participant of the Berlinale Talents, Locarno Film Academy. His first feature, «PAMFIR», premiered at CANNES FILM FESTIVAL Directors’ Fortnight in 2022. «PAMFIR» has been chosen for a nomination in the category European Discovery – Prix FIPRESCI at the 35th European Film Awards. The debut won 11 awards from the Ukrainian National Film Award Golden Dzyga and 5 awards from the National Film Critics Award Kinokolo and is part of the Criterion Channel. His second feature is “Silent Flood”.
