The Training Ground program is officially closed! Just 3 days away from the beginning of FEST - Training Ground, Finola Dwyer, Joelle Levie, Luís Galvão Teles, Pete Travis, William Brown and Will Garbutt are the last confirmed speakers for this year’s edition.

Finola Davis is a great producer well known for her work in the award-winning features “Brooklyn” (John Crowley, 2015) and “An Education” (Lone Scherfig, 2009).

Over the last 30 years, Joëlle Levie worked in the film and television business. Since 2011, she is co-partner of a French company of Online Film Financing — OLFFI.

Portuguese director and producer Luís Galvão Teles spent his early career involved with militant cinema, directed advertising films, and features like “Retrato de Familia” (1991) and “Dot.com” (2007). He also founded the producer Fado Filmes.

The director of “Endgame” (2009), Pete Travis, had a late start in his career, however, he decided to take a post-graduate course in filmmaking and soon started great productions like the TV series “Other People's Children” (2000) and the feature “City of Tiny Lights” (2016).

William Brown is a Senior Lecturer in Film at the University of Roehampton, London. He has published numerous essays in journals and edited collections. He is also the director of various films.

Will Garbutt is Halo’s Managing Director and is responsible for looking after every stage of the post process from start to finish.
