FEST is a new generation of festivals, featuring film screenings, music concerts & showcases, Conference sessions, projects in development, competitions, TV showcases, Awards ceremonies, and much more. FEST is a festival with many festivals inside.

FEST offers a great lineup of activities for both the audience and professionals, showing the best cutting-edge films from new filmmakers with more than 200 films screened; as well as films for young audiences; showcases and concerts of artists related to film with more than 18 artists, Q&A’s with the creatives, masterclasses, workshops, debates and much more.

FEST PRO section is a leading platform for filmmakers to network, enhance their film knowledge and develop new projects, as well as personally interact with the world’s leading filmmakers. In FEST, film professionals, up-and-coming and established alike, come together to present their work, develop their skills and create synergies. The event is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that offers a fast track to the film industry and creates a meaningful connection with like-minded peers worldwide.

Set in the coastal resort town of Espinho, Portugal, where the audience can enjoy the best Portuguese hospitality with amazing gastronomy, the best beaches, and one of the best surf hotspots in Europe.

TRAINING GROUND

+200 films from the most promising names in the industry, spread across 9  competitive and non-competitive sections.

International film project competition, providing development support and co-production opportunities.

MUSIC WALK WITH ME

Several training activities focused exclusively on sound and music for films. Masterclasses and case studies include composing music for films and immersive sound editing and mixing.

It’s a festival within the festival, 6 days with concerts, showcases and DJ performances, always with a strong connection with the cinema world

FILMMAKERS' CORNER

One-on-one meetings between industry professionals, allow for a broad discussion of projects and ideas.

An open stage for professionals and film students to showcase and promote their work to the audience of the festival.

Participate in the Film Educators Meetup or other special events. Take advantage of FEST Network and the presence of +800 filmmakers, industry professionals and film students to increase your international connections.

Each attendee will have one minute to chat with the person in front of him about as many things as possible, resembling a speed date.
