Luisa studied journalism and documentaries. She started her career in Mozambique at TVM, and for more than 10 years she worked at RTP, coordinating and presenting several projects, amongst them Fotograma (2008), a magazine that had more than 100 episodes dedicated to the film in Portuguese language.
Since 2010, she has been conducting and curating Shortcutz Porto (Short Film Festival with more than 200 editions). In 2012 she began organizing Super 9 Mobile, the first Portuguese festival exclusively dedicated to the mobile. The Super 9 Mobile Film Fest is already in the 4th edition.
Luisa coordinated and performed Porto sem Nó (2013), winner of the International Television Festival of Rio de Janeiro. She made the documentary Women on Stage for RTP and co-realized, with the artist Sama, a series of animation for Channel Brazil.
Among her projects are Os Cravos e a Rocha (Premier Brazil at the Rio Festival, Luso Brasileiro, Indielisboa, São Paulo Short Film Festival, NY Portuguese Short Film Festival, Cortex, etc), the experimental short film La Luna (International Film and Video Festival Bideodromo, at Family Film Project), film in Super 8 Memória, feminine noun (2016, Honorable Mention of the Douro Film Festival - Porto 8mm International Film Festival), mobile movie My Choice (2017, Cine Pocket Festival, One Minute Festival).
Luisa is finished in 2017 the feature film Who's Barbara Virginia?, a documentary about the first Portuguese director.
She is currently preparing a documentary with Ana Luísa Amaral and Luísa Marinho on "The New Portuguese Letters", considered the first international feminist cause.
