Jen Gatien has produced 17 feature films. Her documentary about the famed Chelsea Hotel was directed by Abel Ferrara and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival as official selection.

Gatien produced three films that premiered in Sundance narrative competition: Hounddog (2007) starring Dakota Fanning and Robin Wright Penn, Holly Rollers (2010) starring Jesse Eisenberg and For Ellen (2012) starring Paul Dano and Jena Malone. Gatien premiered Jack and Diane (2012) and Dixieland (2015), which both starred Riley Keough, at the Tribeca Film Festival.

She produced Kisso of the Damned (2012) by Xan Cassavetes which premiered at the Venice Film Festival and SXSW in 2013.

Along with Spike Lee, Gatien produced Evolution of a Criminal (2014) by Darius Clark Monroe which won the Grand Jury Prize at Full Frame after premiering at SXSW.

Her film Midnight sun starring Bella Thorne was released in July 2018.

Gatien is member of the Producers Guild of America and serves as chair of the board of Lower East Side Girls Club.
