During his 30 years directing experience in film, TV and commercials. Dominic has worked with a wide range of actors including Brad Pitt, Tom Hardy, and Carrie Fisher. Just as importantly, Dominic has coached hundreds of non-actors to connect with their emotions and create authentic performances.

Dominic’s commercial directing work for VW, Heinz, Sony, Virgin, Adidas and others has won many awards including two Cannes Gold Lions, the Andy’s Grand Prix and D&AD Pencils.

In order to work with actors more effectively, Dominic trained with renowned method acting coach Jack Waltzer, who developed his technique in the Actor’s Studio with America's foremost teachers of the Stanislavsky System. This training revolutionized Dominic’s working relationship with actors as well as how he approached the whole filmmaking process.

His debut feature White Lightnin’ (2009), written by VICE founder Shane Smith, premiered at Sundance Film Festival, screened at Berlin and Edinburgh International Film Festivals (IFF), won Best Film and Best Actor at Mumbai IFF, Best First Feature at FantAsia and Best Film at Dinard and was in Mark Kermode’s Top Ten films of the year.

Ten years ago Dominic started a committed meditation and mindfulness practice. He realised that mindfulness combined with method acting techniques could form a powerful foundation for an authentic acting process, as well as being a healing and life-enhancing practice for self-development. In early 2018 he began teaching ‘Method, Madness & Mindfulness’ workshops.
