Antoine Russbach is a writer and director, from Geneva, Switzerland.

The Swiss director studied cinema at the Institut des Arts de Diffusion. He then spent his young adult years in Belgium, before moving back to Switzerland.

His credits also include projects, such as Michel (2008), which he directed and wrote; Les bons garçons (2010), a short film in co-production with IAD; Avant-terme (2014), which he directed and wrote; Accomplices (2016), a short film he wrote in collaboration with director Mathieu Mortelmans; and lastly his debut feature Those Who Work (2018).

It was when he was studying at IAD that Russbach met Emmanuel Marre, his co-writer for his debut feature film, Those Who Work (2018). The movie premiered at Locarno International Film Festival in the Filmmakers of the Present Section and was a nominee for the Golden Leopard Award.

The film received international acclaim, also going on to win the Best Feature Film at Saas Fee Filmfest (2019), the Best Film and Best Screenplay award at the Swiss Film Prize (2019) and the Audience Award at Angers European First Film Festival (2019), where he was also nominated for Grand Jury Prize.
