Helena and Ivan, a young urban couple, set out to build a new life in the cork-tree forests. Their search for a quieter lifestyle in an idyllic setting appears destined for success. But once their dream new existence is confronted with the precarious conditions of immigrant agricultural workers in the region, the couple is suddenly embraced with a dilemma that will show their true individual human nature and put their love through the ultimate test.
