Noomi Rapace captured the eyes of the international entertainment community with her critically and publicly acclaimed portrayal of Lisbeth Salander in the film adaptations of Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire, and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest. In addition to her powerful screen presence as a talented creator, Rapace is a producer with a keen eye and strong instincts that help translate and realize stories for audiences.

She began her acting career at the age of seven in the Icelandic film In the Shadow of the Raven I(1988). Since then, she has appeared in more than twenty films and television programs. In 2007, she made her mark on the big screen with a breakthrough performance in the 2007 Danish film, Daisy Diamond. In the movie, she plays a troubled teenage mother who leaves home to pursue a dream, only to fail and have a breakdown with fatal consequences. For her performance, she was awarded the Bodil Prize (Denmark) and a Robert Award for Best Actress (Denmark).

Noomi Rapace was highly praised for her performance in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009), the first part of the Millennium Trilogy. This performance won her the Guldbagge Award for Best Actress (Sweden) and the International Jupiter Award for Best Actress (Germany), as well as being nominated for an Orange British Academy Film Award for Leading Actress and a European Film Award for Best Actress for her role.
