Amaia Remírez is a producer since 2012, when her first short doc Minerita (2013) was Awarded with the Goya in Spain and shortlisted for the Oscars.

Her first feature film as producer was the animated film Another Day of Life (2018).

The film had its World Premiere in Cannes 2018 Official Selection and won the Audience Award at San Sebastian IFF, Best Animated Feature 2018 at the European Film Awards, Spanish Film Academy Goya and Platino Iberoamerican Film Awards. A 4-side coproduction with Poland, Germany, Belgium and Spain for the adaptation of the novel by Polish Master of Journalism Ryszard Kapuscinski, that went on to a very successful festival life with the international sales handled by French Indie Sales.

For Another Day of Life, she received the 2018 Cartoon Tribute as European Producer of the Year. The film got Media Creative and Eurimages support.

She's produced over 15 very successful documentary shorts and is currently co-directing and producing Bayo Bayo Baby documentary feature (Spain-France) and producing The Williams (Spain-UK).

In 2021 she's made her directorial debut with Maldita. A Love Song to Sarajevo, Oscar qualified short doc (Silver Dragon Best Direction, Krakow IFF), in 2022, and in 2023 winner of the Goya Award for Best Short Doc.
