Sinopse:

Itamar, a middle-aged black man, is the father of four young daughters. Clementina, the youngest, is only 13, while Simone, the oldest, is 23 years old. When Simone receives a scholarship to study abroad, the family's finances, which were already in trouble, become even more scarce. The sisters see this as an opportunity to escape Itamar's strictness. Each daughter finds her path, even if it means dying among the mud and roots of the mangrove swamp
