Not Even The Sun is an intimate portrait of a young woman experiencing the deterioration of a relationship in a foreign land. Told from the perspective of the female protagonist (Deragh Campbell), a young Canadian woman's precarious life situation and the rising tension between her and her boyfriend (Santiago Blanco Choya) finally reach a breaking point in rural Spain.

Andrea Marcelino is a Toronto-born, Portuguese-Canadian writer/director whose cinematic focus is to tell impactful stories with complex female characters and demonstrate the importance of female storytelling in our visual culture. Her life in film began abroad when she first studied film in Spain and then later, went on to complete a Master in Fine Arts in Filmmaking at EICAR in Paris, France.
She has shot and created projects in Spain, France, and Canada. Previously, her comedic web series La Ville was featured in the Women in Film and Television Showcase at the TIFF Lightbox Theatre. Not Even The Sun is her return to drama with a focus on sensorial visual storytelling.
