Projects Submission

You can now submit projects for the next edition of FEST! This is a unique opportunity to present and develop projects that have been kept under wraps, showcasing them to some of the most influential producers, distributors, and investors, both nationally and internationally.

The submission period for the FEST — Pitching Forum is open until April 6, 2026, with an early-bird period during the first month, until January 19, 2026.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Feature Films – Projects in early development seeking financing or international co-productions, as well as post-production projects looking for funding or post-production services.
  • Short Films – Projects at any stage, from concept to post-production, seeking financing, co-productions, or post-production services.
  • Series – Projects at any stage of development, from concept to post-production, seeking financing, co-productions, or post-production services.

The event is open to both experienced and emerging filmmakers. There is no age limit.

Projects can belong to any genre or use any filmmaking technique, including fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental cinema. Selection will be based on artistic merit, potential for success, and ability to secure funding.

Films of all genres and cinematic techniques, including experimental works, are accepted, with selection based on artistic merit, potential for success, and ability to secure funding.

 

KEY DATES & DEADLINES

Early Bird: December 18, 2025 – January 19, 2026 (until 11:59 PM UTC)
Regular Period: January 20, 2026 – March 30, 2026 (until 11:59 PM UTC)
Late Fee: March 31, 2026 – April 6, 2026 (until 11:59 PM UTC)

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Project applications are only accepted when submitted via one of the following options:

  • Using our form;
  • Using our page at FilmFreeway;
  • All materials must be in English.

SUBMISSION FEES
All submissions are subject to a fee based on the following deadlines:
     Early Bird deadline (up to January 19, 2026)
     €50
     Regular deadline (up to March 30, 2026)
     €60
     Late deadline (up to April 6, 2026)
     €85

Exceptions:
Portuguese projects: 50% discount on submission
