With over 30 masterclasses, workshops and ateliers lectured by some of the film industry’s most celebrated professionals, FEST - Training Ground offers a platform for filmmakers, film professionals and film students to develop their skills and share their experiences in a friendly environment.
The program of Training Ground includes experts and topics that cover a wide variety of subjects, including film directing, production, scriptwriting, cinematography, editing, sound design, production design, acting, casting, non-fiction filmmaking, makeup, distribution, financing and much more. Each participant can tailor their individual program according to their interests and priorities.
In past editions, Training Ground has hosted sessions from distinguished speakers such as Asghar Farhadi, Béla Tarr, Fernando Trueba, Melissa Leo, Martin Walsh, Joe Walker, Ed Lachman, Tom Stern, Allan Starski, Eugenio Caballero, Iain Smith, David Mcmillan, Eddy Joseph, Garry Yershon and João Pedro Rodrigues, just to name a few (→ see more speakers from previous years here).
Each session is different and interactive, providing those attending an insight to the process of some of the greatest creative minds in the world.
FEST - Training Ground will take place between June 25th and 30th, 2019.
Whilst speakers will be announced progressively throughout the year, the full program will be published in June 2019.
