Synopsis:

Gertie's a fast-talking 79-year-old psychic who's been exploited by wealthy employers her whole life. After a fall lands her in the hospital, she discovers her life insurance expires on her 80th birthday. She recruits four neurodivergent women—her "lost ladies"—to help fake her death.

While her ladies orchestrate the scheme, they use Gertie's invisibility as an elderly patient to scout the hospital—sometimes she's a confused woman wandering restricted areas, other times an overlooked visitor or forgotten cleaner. Meanwhile, high on narcotics, Gertie dreams up wild plans to change the world: empathy rehab for bullies, villages where old becomes young, buses breaking patients out of long-term care.

But these aren't just drug-fueled fantasies. She starts extorting her corrupt former employers, men whose fortunes she helped build and whose secrets she's been collecting for years. What starts as an insurance scam becomes a madcap campaign to fund her outrageous bucket list and leave something wildly better behind.
