As a composer and pianist, Luke Eberl is the piano protégé of Frank Zappa's legendary Grammy-nominated pianist Tommy Mars. He has performed live all over the world. For Scholastic Books he composed and performed the score for the audio books of Caldecott Medal-winning Brian Selznick's ("Hugo") "The Marvels” and “Run Away With Me,” Martha Brockenbrough's "Into the Bloodred Woods,” and Mo Willems' "That is NOT a Good Idea." He has been the composer for films such as "The Maestro" starring Xander Berkeley and "The Napkin” starring Scoot McNairy. As an actor he has worked on Clint Eastwood’s Oscar-winning “Letters from Iwo Jima,” Tim Burton's “Planet of the Apes” Netflix's “Marvel's Daredevil” and HBO’s “Big Love.” An award winning filmmaker, he directed the feature film "Choose Connor" (Strand Releasing) and co-directed with Edgar Morais "We Won't Forget" (FEST Honorable Mention). Luke divides his time between Portugal and the USA and is completing his first solo piano album.
