Silvana Torricela

Director

Silvana Torricella, born in Porto, Portugal, holds a Master’s degree in Film Production and Directing. Throughout her academic journey, she directed short films that were recognized and nominated at various film festivals. Silvana has held diverse roles in the film industry, including being a screenwriter and production coordinator at HHPStudios for three years. In addition to these roles, she also worked as a script supervisor and editor for numerous projects. As a film director, Silvana has developed expertise in directing documentaries, fiction films, advertising spots, and institutional videos. She has collaborated with several organizations, including Fest – New Directors | New Films Festival, Coimbra Biennale for Contemporary Art, and several city halls. Her latest work, “O Abafador”, won the Grande Prémio Joaquim de Almeida at Ymotion Film Festival, Best Cinematography at Planos Film Festival and was also awarded 2nd place at the Sophia Awards by the Portuguese Film Academy.

Cristina Lima

Festival Organization

A film festival artistic director and executive producer, she has a degree in modern languages and literatures from the University of Porto and postgraduate degree in translation. She began working at Cinanima - International Animated Film Festival of Espinho, where she is responsible for international contacts and relations, and programming.

Nino Kovačić

Film Programmer

Nino Kovačić is a freelance author, film programmer and production associate at film festivals, and an independent cultural worker with a long-term experience in film and theatre projects and the media. He mostly works, or has collaborated, in programming, program coordination and event production at Animafest, ZagrebDox, Zagreb Film Festival, 25fps, Croatian Film Days and others in Croatia, as well as Kaboom, Cinekid, IDFA and IRFF in the Netherlands.
