Based in Portugal, Jo Monteiro works on international film productions, TV series, and independent films. Before focusing exclusively on fiction projects, she managed casting for over 300 commercials, handling both models and talent. With 12 years of experience as an assistant director, she gained valuable knowledge that later enhanced her casting work. Jo studied Film at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium) and has recently directed a TV movie for RTP and two short films. Selected casting credits include “Glória” (Netflix) and “Dreaming with Lions” (Portugal/Brazil feature film). She is a member of the Casting Society of America and the International Casting Directors’ Association.
