"It Lasts Forever" Edgar Morais Exposition

During the FEST week, from June 24 to July 1, we are honored to host in the Multimeios gallery the exhibition "It Lasts Forever" by filmmaker, actor, screenwriter, and photographer Edgar Morais.

"It Lasts Forever" marks Edgar Morais's first public exhibition of his photographic work, showcasing a selection of moments, portraits, and landscapes spanning the years 2012-2023. The exhibition premiered at the cultural collective Casa do Comum in Lisbon in March of this year and arrives now at FEST and after will be displayed
in various galleries around the world.

Edgar Morais is an award winning filmmaker, actor and photographer. His films as a director have scr
eened and won awards at many festivals worldwide including PÖFF Shorts, Palm Springs ShortFest, Hamptons IFF, Maryland Film Festival, ISFF Detmold, FEST Espinho, IndieLisboa, Castrovillari, Woodstock, Tirana, Dresden and Rio de Janeiro, and he has directed music videos for bands such as MOTHXR and grammy-nominated Shiny Toy Guns. As an actor he has worked with directors such as Teresa Sutherland, Larry Clark, Victoria Mahoney, Craig Viveiros, Luis Miguel Cintra and Gentian Koçi in films that have screened at festivals such as Cannes, Venice, Fantasia, Gothenburg, Tallinn, Thessaloniki, Vila do Conde, and Rotterdam, among others. In 2023 Edgar won the award for Best Actor at the Prishtina International Film Festival for his turn in Albania's Oscar submission "A Cup of Coffee and New Shoes On" as well as rave reviews for his performance from the likes of Variety and Screen Daily. 

Edgar Morais will also be present during the week as one of the jurors for the Fiction competition in this edition of the festival and as a speaker for the session "Directing Actors: Techniques and Challenges" at the Directors Hub on June 26.
