The current Creative Europe programme, provides more support and funding than ever before to cultural and creative sectors, linguistic diversity, heritage & audiovisual. With a dedicated budget of more than €2.4 billion, agents will need to navigate the guidelines and calls to better find the right opportunity for their projects. The session will be giving an overview of the program, and reveal the direction the program will take.

Susana Costa Pereira has been working in the cultural sector for 25 years, mostly in the Portuguese Public Administration, having worked at the Ministry of Culture's Office in 96/97, namely in the Mosaic Initiative - a working group with the aim of encouraging the creation of digital technologies with cultural content-, where she developed communication related activities. She subsequently worked at the Institute of Cinema, Audiovisual and Multimedia (ICAM, now ICA, IP) between 97 and 99 and again between 2001 and 2003, in the area of international promotion and digital modernization and simplification (PA online services).

Between 1999 and 2001 she worked at Grupo Media Capital (specialized magazines) which she joined as Marketing Director and later assumed the position of Online Business Unit Director. Between 2004 and 2010 she worked at the IGAC – General Inspectorate of Cultural Activities, in the areas of Copyright and registration of literary, artistic and scientific works, combined with the area of digital modernization. After a new period in the private sector, namely in the software development company Masterlink as project manager, she was invited to join the Portuguese Creative Europe Desk in 2014 as responsible for the Culture Sub-programme. Since June 2019 she has been appointed Executive Coordinator of the Portuguese Creative Europe Desk as well as Responsible for the MEDIA Strand and the Creative Innovation Lab action.
