This female focussed masterclass will provide a forum for women wanting to break in or move up the career ladder in the film industry. It is well known that women are underrepresented in the global film industry and this masterclass will provide strategies of empowerment for how to navigate the career you want. It will provide a solution focused toolkit to break down the barriers faced by women and cover topics such as finding your voice, pitching, storytelling, networking, and inclusion to smash the celluloid ceiling and enrich the cinematic experience for everyone.

Lucy Brown is an award-winning producer, director, writer and educator. She began her career at the British Film Institute and has filmed around the world for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Nickelodeon and Disney. She is co-author of The TV Studio Production Handbook (Bloomsbury) and her award-winning documentary on Thelma & Louise has screened at prestigious film festivals across six continents. Lucy is a passionate advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion. She is Founder and Director of Women in Screen and the International Trailblazing Women On and Off Screen conference.
