Filmmaking is a connection of many arts and crafts, from acting to producing, writing, cinematography, art direction, etc. In this session we will have Gael Garcia Bernal who will explore the evolution in the film business using his personal experience. Gael started as one of the most vibrant actors of his generation, starring in films such as Amores Perros and Y tu Mama Tambíen that were groundbreaking when they were released. During his decades long career Gael has continued acting, but also producing, directing and writing. Confirming that, you can evolve as a filmmaker by adding new skills throughout your life, enriching his experience as a filmmaker and as a storyteller.

Gael García Bernal is an actor. He began performing in stage productions with his parents in Mexico, and later studied at the Central School for Speech and Drama in London. He is a founder and president of Ambulante, an itinerant not-for-profit documentary film festival promoting documentaries within Mexico and abroad. He has recently opened his new production company, La Corriente del Golfo, together with Diego Luna, focused on the production of films, series, theater and podcasts.
