Synopsis

As the only condition set by a producer to support his film, an aspiring director is given 48 hours to find the best groan of pain, worthy of an Oscar. Reality is a French comedy driven by surrealism, composed of a series of overlapping dream sequences. The film had its world premiere at the 71st Venice Film Festival, in 2014. In this section, in honor of Quentin Dupieux’s works, we watch the breakdown of the Hollywood film formula. The director is invested in contradicting everything you might expect from a conventional narrative.
