Synopsis
While driving to a wedding, a Kurdish family living in Norway hits a wild animal. The father, Aram, is forced to decide whether he should kill the animal or attempt to rescue it. Later it becomes clear how Aram struggles to find a place, both in his new country, as well
as within his own family. The Shepherd is a film of immense intimate beauty fuelled by a towering performance by the actor Hamza Aghosi, and a lucid and solid direction of newcomer Brwa Vahabpour, who manages to transcend the traditional dramatic structure and transforms his work into a subliminal multi-layered experience, with much to say about the modern world.
