Synopsis

When the elevator of their public housing breaks down, the fates of Felix, a disabled pensioner, Ana, a single mother struggling with her move and Seydou, a young man passionate about dance, intertwine towards an explosive ending, where their limits will be tested.
Zoel Aeschbacher’s Bonobo is an extraordinary fragmented narrative that intelligently crosses together three engaging characters, victims of funny, ironic and unfortunate circumstances. The writing here is sharper than a blade, the editing work is absolutely sublime, the acting is riveting, and the final result is one of the most exciting films you’ll see all year.
