Synopsis

Augusto Rodrigues was a militant at the Portuguese Communist Youth and worked as a nurse in Aljube prison, where he met Pavel, a political prisoner caught by PIDE (political police) in 1938. Pavel was a clandestine activist and one of the main leaders of the Communist party up until the moment he was set aside, for reasons unknown. Augusto allowed the prison escape of someone that would become the Portuguese dictator’s worst enemy, who ran away to Mexico to live another identity. Augusto lived all his life hiding, always afraid to get caught, far away from his family and friends.
