Synopsis
Fishermen return to the port, barely having caught any fish. The country is being devastated by hunger. An unknown man gifts sardines to some boys that are playing around, and they trust him when he says a big shipment of fish is about to arrive at Alicante’s market. Word speeds from
one neighbor to another, with hope and happiness. Around 11 AM on the 25th of May, 1938, Alicante’s main market is full of expectant people, seconds before the bombing. Oblivion is an homage to the victims, on the commemoration of the tragedy’s 80th anniversary.
