Synopsis

A fiery young couple may be as hot for each other as they are ill-suited. In these days of turbulence between the genders, The Treehouse strikes life a dagger to the heart. The film is a brutally honest portrayal of a couple who is struggling to live with the limitation of the acceptable, and, much like the protagonists, the film is bound to cause much heated debate. This constant sense of living on the line was not ignored by the jury of FEST 2018, that decided to give it a much deserved honourable mention last year. Juan Sebastian Quebrada is yet another promising figure to come out of contemporary cinema in Colombian, a country that is fast distancing itself as a hotbed for young creators.
