Synopsis
The filmmaker (‘the white balloon’) returns from Europe to her native Iran, hoping to shoot a movie with some old friends. Her friend Ayan questions the white balloon’s motives, when she wants to play out a bribery scene. What kind of Iran does she want to present, and to whom? A personal film, looking from different angles at migration, identity, friendship and change vis-à- vis contemporary Iran.
