Synopsis

Shadow Fighters is a documentary that portrays the life of albinos in Tanzania. We follow two very unique characters: Mashaka, who is in his 30’s and is a teacher in a primary school in one of Tanzania’s bigger cities, Mwanza. The other character is the 11-year-old boy, Abdul, who lives just outside the capital, Dar Es Salaam. Alongside de danger of the intense sunlight, these characters have to deal with the threat and prejudice of an entiere society ruled by superstion.
