Synopsis

Franka lives with her father in the rough area of Beverwijk near the steel factory Hoogoven. Their relationship is close and too intimate for Franka’s taste, until she meets the windsurfer Kes. But as the steel factory also brings together Kes and her father, her hopes of excitement and a fresh start amidst the rut of keeping the household together and working as a nurse are soon dampened.
