She is a producer of documentaries and one of the first women boom operators in Hollywood, sustaining a 40-year career. She is known Spy Kids (2001), From Dusk Till Dawn (1996), and Killers of the Flower Moon (2023). She is on the sound team double Oscar-nominated for Once Upon a Time ...in Hollywood and Ad Astra.

She is the author of the multi-award winning production sound book Behind the Sound Cart: A Veteran's Guide to Sound on the Set, Beneath the Boom Pole: The Art & Science of Boom Operating for Movies & TV and the upcoming Inside the Set: How to keep a Job Long Enough to Have a Career.

She lectures and teaches at film schools around the world, including NFTS (England), Univ. of Greenwich, Kerry College (Ireland), Jao Tung University - Shanghai, Beijing Film Academy, Westerdahl (Norway), MIMEC (Mexico), AMPAS Gold Program, more.

She is a chocolatier, is taking Bollywood dance lessons and has the idea for the sequel to Titanic.
