Russell is one of the most respected colourists in the advertising sector having held senior positions at MPC, Freefolk and Glassworks. He is a Senior Clourist in Halo Post Production.

The last 12 years has been spent mostly on commercials, working with some of the biggest names in the industry on countless national and global campaigns. He still loves working on longform and have a hankering for getting back to grading episodic TV, and high end documentary work.

He started by transferring archive newsreels. Then Super 8mm films for the art school graduates at MTV up the road in Camden. Then long form documentary classics like Equinox and Horizon. Then remastering classic movies including Mean Streets and Citizen Kane. He started grading commercials when he moved to VTR in 2005. He has frequently made the Televisual top ten VFX artists list and has been involved in countless award-winning global campaigns for the worlds biggest brands.
