She is one of the founders and co-director of Porto Femme - International Film Festival, Programmer of Femme Sessions and Shortcutz Aveiro. She works as producer, curator and trainer in several cultural organizations. She works as a coordinator and trainer in the project Cinamiza-te, in the formation of juvenile public in the cinema area. She participates as a jury member in several international film festivals.

She is founder and part of the direction of MUTIM - Associação das Mulheres Trabalhadoras da Imagem em Movimento. 

She has a degree and a master's degree in Artistic Studies from the Faculty of Arts at the University of Coimbra. She is a member of the work group Artistic Currents and Intellectual Movements of CEIS20 - Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies on the 20th Century of the University of Coimbra. She is part of the research project "SPECULUM - Filmar-se e Ver-se ao Espelho: O uso da escrita de si por documentaristas de língua portuguesa", financed by FCT dedicated to research in the field of autobiographical cinema, directed by women, in Portugal and Brazil.
