As a celebration of cinema in all of its different forms, FEST is very much a part of the city where it's held each and every year: Espinho. Our festival spreads throughout different venues, all within walking city, which you can find out more about below.
In 2021, FEST continues to expand some of its sections to the rest of Portugal, with film screenings in the noble cities of Porto and Lisbon, where the Be Kind Rewind section will be exhibited. Furthermore, from the 11th to the 18th of October, FEST will also hold a special online program on the streaming service, Filmin.
Tickets should be acquired until 30 minutes before the respective session.

The Multimeios Centre’s name roughly translates to multi-media centre, as it functions as a cinema, a planetarium, an exhibition hub and a general event venue. It is a space designed to welcome all platforms of cultural interest, while also serving as a research and study centre in astronomy. Exhibitions, concerts, conferences, festivals and lectures compose an attractive program.
This special venue, situated in the heart of Espinho, is the main site where FEST takes place: the Auditorium room holds the Industry Program masterclasses, as well as the Film Program's Golden Lynx competition screenings.
Address: Rua 19, 85, Espinho
Perpendicular to the 23rd Street, only 3 minutes away, you will find yourself on a pedestrian street, filled with stores on both sides. That will be 19th Street, that you can follow all the way through and get to yet another Festival venue: the Casino of Espinho.
Open all year, the Casino is the meeting point for people from various places, who feel attracted by the vast programs that the Casino offers. From their dinner and shows packages, to their restaurants, conference rooms, art gallery and game rooms, Casino de Espinho keeps everybody entertained.

Then first FEST extension at Culturgest brings its complete Be Kind Rewind section to Lisbon, as well as the Catalan filmmaker Isabel Coixet, who will present a very special session of her film Endless Night (2015).
In 2021, FEST joins Filmin to exhibit online a very special selection of its film program, counting both feature and shorts films, starting October 11th to the 18th. This selection encompasses fresh films straight from Cannes, like Adèle Exarchopoulos' most recent work in Zero Fucks Given, or Naila Guiguet's Dustin, one of the most talked about films competing at the Semaine de la Critique.
