As the film industry grows in size and scope, so does our festival: this year, FEST will debut for the first time a TV series, exhibiting the first two episodes of the next national sensation, The Sugar Captains.
This session will happen October 10th in the Auditorium of Centro Multimeios Espinho, at 21h30.
The Sugar Captains is a new portuguese TV series, directed by FEST veteran Ricardo Leite — winner of the Audience Award in 2017 with his first short film, "A Instalação do Medo" —, and produced by Maria & Mayer, about a group of young artists who get caught up on a distribution and production scheme of a psychotropic substance known only as "Açúcar" ("Sugar").
From an original idea by Tiago Sarmento, whom also stars, the series is led by both promissing young actors and established national talents, such as Diana Sousa, Lara Vicente Wallenstein, Igor Regalla, Paulo Calatré, Ana Padrão, Jani Zhao, Dinarte Branco, Telma Cardoso, Filipa Osório, António Parra, José Mata, Romi Soares, among others. Don't miss this opportunity to discover first hand your new TV obsession!
Both episodes will be subtitled, and tickets will soon be available.
In the meantime, our film program is now available. Check it out here.
