This year, FEST — Pitching Forum is back stronger than ever. With applications closing August 10th (!), it's time to start unveiling the first batch of post-production and distribution prizes. Find them below — and be sure to apply!
Film distribution company MAILUKI FILMS, will award a specific project of our MAKE IT SHORT section with an exclusive film distribution deal, led by industry professionals who will make sure your project reaches a worldwide audience. MAILUKI Films is headed by Eduardo M. Escribano Solera, and since 2008 has distributed short films all over the world, premiering them at prestigious festivals such as the Academy Awards, the European Film Awards, and others.
The WORK IN PROGRESS section of our Pitching Forum will be awarded a post-production prize from HALO, who will award the winner with color grading or sound mixing (winner's choice) for their project at HALO's facilities in the UK. The post-production company is one of the most prestigious post production facilities. They recently won, for the third time, the Broadcast Award for Best Post Production Facility. Their work includes Oscar nominated "Nocturnal Animals" and "Les Misérables".
Both of these sections' winners, plus the jury-selected FEATURE GEMS project, will also be awarded with a FEST FILM LAB prize, which will allow the winner to learn with industry experts at FEST FILM LAB workshop of their choice. Previous workshops were held, among many others, by cinematographer Stuart Dryburgh, designers Richard Morrison and Dean Wares, and academy-winner actress Melissa Leo.
Apply now, and don't miss out on these prizes!
