FEST is looking for collaborators for its 16th edition! Kick-off your summer in the best way and enjoy a week in Espinho, Portugal, between 2nd and 9th of August, 2020.
FEST – New Directors | New Films Festival welcomes you for a week of celebration of the silver screen and the emerging talents in the Film industry. You will have the privilege to be in touch with young filmmakers, experts of the industry, and other collaborators coming from all over the world.
Join this dynamic and fun working environment that will embrace you with open arms.
There are two ways that you can be a part of our team: volunteer or sign up for an internship.
HOW CAN I BECOME A VOLUNTEER AT FEST?
For this 16th edição, FEST has had to impose a rule for the consideration of your application: your place of residency. Since this year we will not be able to set-up accommodation for our volunteers, we are freely accepting applications, but we will prioritize candidates that reside in Espinho.
We are currently looking for people who can execute the following tasks:
- Management and maintenance of the venue rooms;
- Videographic and Photographic coverage;
- Social Media management;
- Technical Team;
In certain cases, we will contact some of the volunteers so they can start a week before the festival. If you are available to do so, please indicate that on your application.
Follow Maria’s example!
“FEST was my first volunteering experience and I could not have picked a better one. In this wonderful team, I found huge support and people eager to create the best environment possible and the best experience for us, volunteers, but also for the participants of the festival. There is a great passion for Film and a need to share it. I loved having the opportunity to meet many people, from various parts of the globe, with that same passion. I hope to come back.”
Maria Moreira, Volunteer – FEST 2018
HOW CAN YOU BECOME AN INTERN AT FEST?
ATTENTION: At this time, we are just accepting curricular internships for the academic year of 2021.
Applications are only available for curricular internships that may be short-term or long-term.
The first step is to check if the institution where you study is our partner. Then, you need to download the application form, fill it in and send it to email@example.com, indicating in the email subject “Application for Curricular internship”.
- Event production and organization;
- Design and Multimedia;
- Translation and subtitling
We accept applications for short-term internships, considering they will have to take place in the week of the festival and can occupy the previous week or the following one. For all the long-term internships, the timeframe will have to include the week of the festival.
Read about Paulo’s experience:
“FEST, without a doubt, was one of the best experiences of my life. I learned so much, personally, and professionally. I met incredible people that supported me all the way and I am very grateful for that. I loved the two years I spent as an intern here and I recommend all film lovers, without a doubt, to experience FEST. You will not regret it.”
