A fictional dance film, Salidas, follows Giralda, an undertaker who accompanies human beings that have passed away into their afterlife. Through Spanish music and flamenco dancing, and an old East German ship canal lift, the film creates beautiful associations between Northern and Southern Europe, movement and silence, and farewells and eternity.
