Umbilical tells the story of a young woman struggling to move past her religious and superstitious upbringing. Through Elpida Stathatou's lens, we find a story of human captivity, emotional abuse passed down from one generation to the other, a cautionary tale about religion and fanatism. While battling her traumatic past, our main character will discover exactly how far she will go to escape her demons.
