Through a red lens, the experimental short Lap Dogs reimagines Fyodor Dostoyevsky's vision of Russian nihilism. With fragments from his novel "Demons" as well as scenes from Perestroika cinema, it depicts the physical and political apathy so often seen in domestic settings.
