Robert A. Sherman is the United States Ambassador in Portugal. Before he held this position, he was one of the founders of the Boston offices of Greenberg Traurig, an international law firm.

As a lawyer, he represented 90 church negotiations victims and collaborated with the Boston Globe team to expose the scandal. This story is represented in Spotlight, the Oscar Winning Best Picture, for which the Ambassador was a script consultant.

Robert A. Sherman has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Masters in Law from Boston University.

Nowadays, besides working towards the connection between the USA and Portugal, he, in partnership with his wife, business woman Kim Sawyer, also promotes female entrepreneurship with "Connect to Success" – a Corporate Mentorship programme that consists in MBA/Masters Consulting and workshops.
