Polly Duval is a British post production supervisor based in London.  For over twenty years she has been working at the heart of British independent film alongside some of the most highly regarded directors and producers in the industry.

Polly began her career in the Nineties as a runner for renowned commercials company RSA Films. A graduate of the University of York, she was a PA on more than fifty commercials and pop promos before moving into feature films.

In 1993 Polly joined Scala Productions, assisting producer Finola Dwyer on Iain Softley’s debut feature, Backbeat.  She went on to work as assistant producer on many Scala films including Terence Davies’ The Neon Bible, Stephan Elliott’s Welcome to Woop Woop and Chris Menges’ The Lost Son. She has enjoyed career-long collaborations with leading British producers from the Scala stable: Finola Dwyer, Stephen Woolley and Elizabeth Karlsen.  She also forged an early, key relationship with Mike Leigh and his long-time, late producer, Simon Channing-Williams.

Since becoming a freelance post production supervisor in 1999 Polly has worked on more than forty feature films including Notes On a Scandal, An Education, Happy-Go-Lucky, Another Year, Quartet, Mr. Turner, Brooklyn, and recently Lone Scherfig’s Their Finest and Stanley Tucci’s Final Portrait.

She is currently completing post on Ian McEwan’s On Chesil Beach, and on Steve Knight’s Woman Walks Ahead, starring Jessica Chastain.  Forthcoming projects include Colette, directed by Still Alice’s Wash Westmoreland, and Mike Leigh’s Peterloo.
