Synopsis

Annina is 65 and has some problems of the heart - literally and figuratively, but still dreams of happiness. Inspired by Dolly, a sexy widow for whom she occasionally works as a housemaid, Annina tries to imagine herself different, discovering that wrapped in a fire red guepière, her physique takes on a surprisingly fetching form, and the local sex shops become cavernous wonderlands for her. In those same days, the wife of Mr. Johnson, the great 70-year-old violinist, the foreigner living on the top floor of the same building, storms out slamming the door and shouting “You pig!” Annina is diverted into becoming the housekeeper of the upstairs apartment; here, she discovers the telltale traces of a man's rebellion, one who by mysterious means, is trying to push his way towards the light - a kindred soul... Their encounter is an explosion of freedom and revolt against the laws of the world... The others will oppose their scandalized masks against the disorder of that great overturning and they will win in the end. But meanwhile, Annina's hymn to freedom and revolt will be recorded by young Alice, the aspiring writer next door, and will live on forever.
